Why do I need to buy one of the other pcSongster versions.
If you need to ‘rip” or copy your karaoke music to your computer hard drive from your CD’s then you will definitely need either the PlayerPLUS or Personal versions.

Does pcSongster PlayerPLUS or Personal versions have anything else I need?
Definitely.  Both of these versions have a host of capabilities not contained in the currently Player version which will greatly enhance your singing experience.

Can I upgrade from one version to the next?
Absolutely!  All you need to do is go to the page for the product you want to purchase or upgrade and follow the simple instructions.

Should I purchase a stand alone ripper to use with pcSongster?
Definitely not.  Just purchase or upgrade to PlayerPLUS or Personal Version which contains an integrated ripper right in the software.  Stand alone rippers usually cost more that these pcSongster version and are not integrated for ease of use.

How much music can I store on my computer?
This depends on how much disk space you have available and how large the song and lyric files are that you want to store.  Generally if a song is 5 megabytes in size then 200 songs can be stored per Gigabyte (1000 megabytes).  If you have 100 Gigabytes available, then you can easily store approximately 20,000 songs.

How do I hear my music?
You can use your computer speakers or run a cable from your computer’s earphone jack to any stereo or professional sound system.  Your won’t believe the blow out sound that your PC and pcSongster will produce..

I need to be a Computer Geek to successfully enjoy pcSongster – don’t I?
Absolutely not!  pcSongster was developed to be so EASY – EASY – EASY that anyone can effectively use it - even those with minimal computer savvy.  This is definitely NOT TRUE for some of the other software products or antiquated Karaoke Machines that are available.

I want to try pcSongster before I buy it.  How do I do that?

Can I record my own singing with pcSongster? 
Definitely.  You will need the pcSongster Personal version.

Can pcSongster be used by people my age?
pcSongster is designed to be used by anyone of any age!

What about Karaoke music recorded in languages other than English?  Will pcSongster play the music and display the lyrics on my computer.
Definitely!  pcSongster is designed to play most “formats” available world wide.  If pcSongster will play your format then it will play and display whatever language is recorded.  See the list of supported formats.

I already have an antiquated standalone Karaoke player/machine.  Why should I buy pcSongster?
There are literally hundreds of advantages to pcSongster. Where can I get songs to play, sing and learn?
MusicXoft developed pcSongster to give the singer an improved method to practice, sing and party.  We do not sell karaoke music.  Our job is to concentrate on giving you the best singing software available and not lock you in to our brand of music disks.  Go to any search engine like Google or Yahoo and type in “karaoke” and you will find many on- line stores that sell thousands of songs.  There are many web sites that allow you to download karaoke music directly to your hard drive.  Also, check you local business telephone listings for karaoke stores in your area. 

What about piracy?
MusicXoft is dedicated to preventing the illegal use of intellectual property.  Do not use pcSongster to play music that has been illegally obtained.  Do not attempt to use pcSongster illegally.

Will pcSongster run on my computer?
Probably.  Check the “minimum system requirements” information at the bottom of each product page on this web site for detailed information.

I have a “desk-side” computer.  Will pcSongster run on my machine?
Definitely!  pcSongster will run on desk sides, laptops, notebooks or most any other Windows based computer.

Do I need to be connected to the internet to use pcSongster.
No!  pcSongster has everything it needs to run without being always connected to the internet.  However,  you will need to be connected to initially purchase, download and license pcSongster.  After you have completed those simple tasks pcSongster can be used anywhere.

Is pcSongster a good present for members of my family or friends.
Definitely!

Can I run my copy of pcSongster on more than one computer?
NO!  pcSongster is purchased to run on one licensed CPU.  If you have problems with your computer and want to move your license to another computer, then write us at licneses@pcsongster.com
